Seoul gets its first deaf taxi drivers

Thanks to a communication support application, the hearing-impaired people could have more job opportunities such as taxi driver. In Seoul, two taxi drivers started business last Monday with two tablet PCs. One tablet installed in the back seat helps for passengers to speak, while the other tablet in the front seat helps for the deaf driver to understand the destination. In that way, a taxi company, Seoul Metropolitan Government and some related organizations make united effort to make the society more acceptable to the deaf population.
