China and the U.S will not be like the former Soviet Union and the U.S. in the cold war period. The first reason is Soviet Union and China have difference in their leadership, military and diplomacy approach, economic policy. While the leadership in Soviet Union tried to control with guns and armies, the president Xi Jinping looks soft as far as he called Winnie-the-Pooh. Soviet Union was a kind of tyrant to their neighbor countries, but China intelligently use finance to expand its economic territory. Also Chinese people and culture is prevail in the U.S so Americans seem to feel more familiar to Chinese. All these factors could make this is one kind of trade conflict, not a long-life cold war. Both parties still have a table to talk.
