A U.S.-China Divorce Would Be Ugly

Trade barriers between US and China will reduce their national wealth. In united economy, China could earn more from exporting products to USA market, which is 7-trillion-dollar bigger than China domestic. China also can have manufacturing plants in USA territory so they can target USA consumers easily. The US, in the similar way, will be able to keep both 22% of global middle-class consumers with USA brand value and direct foreign investment from Chinese companies. It will be costly and hard to recover the loss of economic separation on economic players.
