South Korean business chiefs were invited to Pyongyang last week. On the President Moon's trip to North Korea, Sohn Kyung-shik, the chairman of CJ group accompanied. In the Bloomberg TV interview, he said North Korea seeks investments from South Korea as they want to faciliate their industry. Investments from South may be priming water to strengthen the infrastructure in North. Mr. Sohn said they had no concrete promise so far but expect cooperation in a positive way in the future.

I think it is very important South Korea firms invest in North, prior to any other multinational firms. We see many African nations are still suffering as they have no firms by their own. They still sell their resources at cheap prices but the fruits come to the multinational companies. That is, it is extremely important to develop the infrastructure and basic industries by North Korea own and have ability to keep developing them. This is the only way North and South Korea could have our own economic and political power.
